In May 2007, the eyes of Europe were on Glasgow, as 25,000 Spanish football fans arrived for the final between RCD Espanyol and Sevilla FC. UEFA and the city of Glasgow had an opportunity to make a lasting impression on the fans.
Maximise Sport developed a series of unique, collectable communications, written in Spanish – the language of the finalists. These were distributed to 20,000 fans via The Scottish Sun, with wider media coverage secured across leading UK sports media.
This short, highly focused campaign delivered outstanding media coverage for UEFA. So much so, that Maximise Sport were retained to work on the 2008 UEFA Cup Final, in Manchester.
“Maximise Sport are the best in the business. They get under the skin of all the projects they work on and are clearly motivated to obtain results for their clients. They have a thorough understanding of football and the media in Scotland and as such are respected by all those involved in the game.”
